Ragusa Boat Charter and Tours ("we", "us") respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website or sends us an enquiry. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Applicable law
We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Zakon o provedbi Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka).
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and run your tour:
- What you send us in the booking form: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and the tour details you choose (boat, duration, group size, preferred date).
- What you write to us if you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Technical and campaign data collected automatically when you use the site: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page you arrived from, and the campaign identifiers carried in the link you clicked (for example utm_source, gclid or fbclid). These are stored alongside your enquiry so we know which advertisement brought you to us.
We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect special categories of data, such as health data.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry, confirm availability, send you a quote and organise your tour (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract).
- To contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email about the enquiry you sent us, on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on the booking form. You may withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
- To measure how our website and advertising perform, and to keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest in running and improving the business).
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
4. Cookies and measurement
The site uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for it to work, and it may use analytics and advertising measurement tags (such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the page and how our advertisements perform. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies and delete them in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business, under contract and only as far as needed:
- Website hosting and the form's edge infrastructure (Cloudflare).
- The database that stores enquiries (Supabase).
- Messaging and email used to reply to you (WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, Google).
- Analytics and advertising measurement (Google, Meta Platforms), where those tags are active.
- Our accountant and, where a booking requires it, the skipper and boat operator carrying out your tour.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision, or an equivalent protection.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as we are in contact with you about a tour and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can handle repeat bookings and any complaint, and we keep booking and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Website analytics data is kept for a limited retention period. After that we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we process it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email travelteam.croatia@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian supervisory authority, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr, or with the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Bookings are made by an adult on behalf of the whole group.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last updated, so please check back occasionally.
